My greatgrandmother was, besides my mom, my idol..teacher...mentor. Even though she passed when I was a mear 11 yrs. old I have never forgotten her smiling face. I can remember every inch of her home, the smell as you walked into the side door...the smell of cakes baking and freshly made frosting. Oh, and how wonderful it was when she would take the left over frosting, put it between two gram crackers, wrap it up in wax paper for me to take home..yumm.
We would go to her house almost everyday, most of my fondest childhood memories were of being with her and mom, baking, chit-chatting at the kitchen table...and getting in trouble for climbing the apple tree.
Grandmom...you are dearly missed.
I Love you, Lisa
