Most notable, in 1825 he was appointed royal court gilder and was therefore entrusted with all gilding work at the then almost completed Christiansborg Castle (furniture, candelabra , mirrors, etc.), often in collaboration with the architect GF Hetsch , who was the leading figure in late classicism.
