Sarah "Sally" Bambick Deakyne, 89, of Wallingford, PA and Harvey Cedars, NJ passed away on April 28, 2023. Beloved wife of David W. Deakyne, and loving mother of David J. Deakyne (Booker), Sarah L. Burke (Michael), Margaret L. Mealy (Richard dec'd), Thomas J. Deakyne, Terrance A. Deakyne (AnnMarie). Loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, Erin Mealy Clark (Matthew), Shannon Burke Holden (Brandon), Margaret Mealy Stump (Grant), Kelly Burke Knapp (Joshua), Zoe Deakyne, Thomas Deakyne, Macy Deakyne. Cherished great-grandmother to Hunter Clark, Sadie Holden, Charlotte Knapp, Landon Clark, Jack Stump. Predeceased by her son Thomas J. in 1969 and her husband David W. in 1988. Sarah was born on January 27, 1934 to Frank and Margaret (Greer) Bambick in Cleveland, Ohio. The oldest of four daughters, Sarah is predeceased by her dear sisters Peggy Bliss and Betty Moran, and survived by Janice Harrison. After graduating from the Andrews School in Willoughby, Ohio, she went on to Ohio University and John Carroll University. Sarah worked at Lincoln Electric where she met her husband David and were married in 1956. Sarah moved to the shore in 2011 after the loss of her longtime partner, Lloyd Levin of Reading, PA. Watching her angel seagulls, the sunrise, and a good storm brought her much joy. Her kind heart and beautiful soul touched everyone she met. She will be greatly missed.
