Margaret was born on August 18, 1942, in Raton, New Mexico to Benjamin A. Romero and Margaret García Romero.
Margaret graduated from Raton High School in 1960. Margaret then moved to Albuquerque, NM and continued her education graduating from the University of New Mexico School of Law.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin A. Romero, her mother, Margaret Garcia, her husband, Harold E. Kious, five brothers, Amado Tomás Romero, Dr. Benjamin A. Romero Jr., Frank Romero, Fred Romero and Dr. Paul Romero, one sister, Marion G (Romero) Budd, sister-in-law Alice, (Groves) Romero and brothers-in-law, Richard Weaver and Richard Gonzáles.
Margaret is survived by her two brothers, Richard V. Romero (Carole) and Donald M. Romero (Ethel), her two sisters, Louise (Romero) Gonzáles and Dorothy (Romero) Weaver, her brother-in-law, Nelson Budd and numerous nieces and nephews.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., followed by Solemn Mass of the Resurrection at 10:30 a.m. at Santuario de San Martín de Porres with Father Oscar W. Coelho as Celebrant. Located at 8301 Camino San Martín SW, Albuquerque, NM.
