Olive C. Abel On March 13th at 3:45 pm Olive Catherine Abel went to be with her sweet Lord. Many will miss this wonderful and creative woman, who gave so graciously to all with her energy, her published writings, and her generous work with children, whom she taught to dance, sing, laugh and love. Little children loved Miss Olive as all who knew her did. She was a true inspiration, and her smile lit up the world. She worked actively with children as a volunteer, and in her vocation. She was born in London England on August 4th 1935. In her early years she worked and traveled Europe and Asia as a professional dancer. She deeply committed her life to Christ. Olive is survived by her loving husband Lawrence G. Abel (Larry) who faithfully and lovingly kept her with him even through her last years while she struggled with Alzheimer's, and finally ovarian cancer. She was preceded in death by her son Lyndon Abel. Her surviving children are; Katia Ramirez, Tacoma, WA, Atania Gilmore, Spokane, WA and Matthew Abel, Gig Harbor, WA, also her stepson Donald Abel, Edmonds WA. She leaves behind a legacy of 12 beautiful grand children and her devoted "little doggie Tiger." She has two surviving sisters; Doris Maycock, London, England, and Irena Taylor, Australia. A brief Committal service will be held 1 pm March 19 at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent WA . Family and friends will celebrate her life at a memorial service at 3 pm Thursday, March 20 at Fox Island Alliance Church. All arrangements have been thoughtfully handled by Haven of Rest.
