Jerome Vincent Ludden A true member of the Greatest Generation Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Jerry Ludden, 88, born November 23, 1919 in St. Paul, MN, died March 15, 2008, surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Deloris, who cared for him in his final years and six children; sons Steve, Scott (Shari), Mark (Stacie) and daughters Sherry Wicklund (Alan), Patricia Romeo, and Colleen (Tony Keith) and 15 grandchildren. Jerry was a patriot and extremely proud of the time spent serving his country. He served in the 8th Air Force during World War II and the Korean War as a flight engineer on B29's. Moving to Sumner in 1959, Jerry and Deloris owned and operated Ludden's True Value Hardware on Main St. for 31 years. Jerry served on the Sumner City Council for nearly 25 years. Please join us to commemorate and celebrate Jerry's life on Wednesday, March 19 at 10:30 AM at St. Andrew's Catholic Church on 1401 Valley Ave, Sumner. Burial at Sumner Cemetery to honor Jerry's military service and lay his body to rest to follow the reception. Please sign the online guestbook at www.mem.com.
