Bertha was the daughter of Wilmer E. and Aura Belle (Poyser) Goode. She married Warren Edward Kandy, son of Mary A. (Stewart) and Charles Frederick Kandy. Bertha was known by her nickname Birdie and by her nephews as 'Aunt Bird'.

"Bertha was the second child of eight born to Wilmer Elsworth "Ells" Goode and Aura Belle Poyser. She married Felix Fay Anderson (son of Robert Fay Anderson and Martha Melissa Dennis) on 6 Jun 1906 in Medford, Oregon. They had 2 children:

Josephine Aurann
