Della Nass Dies After Operation

Ord High Graduate in 1928 Was Successful Los Angeles Teacher When Stricken

At a hospital in Los Angeles on June 5 occurred the death of Della L. Nass, 32. She was striken with peritonitis as result of a gangrenous tumor on May 11 and after an emergency operation pneumonia set in, causing her death.

The body was brought to Ord and funeral services were held Monday with the Pearson-Anderson Mortuary in charge.

Miss Nass was born in Valley county May 4, 1909 and was educated in the schools of this county. She was graduated from Ord high school in 1928 and from University of Nebraska in 1932. She attended summer schools at Santa Barbara and San Jose, Calif., taught home economics in the North loup high school, in Fort Luptin and Louisville, Colo., in Lander, Wyo., and for the past two years in the junior high school at Anaheim, near Los Angeles, Calif.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Hulda Nass, four sisters, Minnie Nass and Mrs. Lewis Eder, of San Diego, Mrs. John Gregory, of Clovis, N. M., and Martha Nass, of Los Angeles; also by two brothers, George and Herman, both of Valley county.

The funeral service was held Monday in the Zion Evangelical church south of Ord, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. A. Adams. Interment was in the Ord Cemetery.
