Hays -- Kala Marie Augustine, 24, Victoria, died Wednesday, May 18, 1994, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Augustine was born Kala Marie Leiker on June 13, 1969, at Hays.

She was a diet clerk at the Hays Medical Center and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella, both of Hays.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney of the home; her parents, Don W. and Melvia Jane Leiker of Hays; and two brothers, Curtis J. Leiker and Kyle A. Leiker, both of Hays.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Paulinus Karlin officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be said at 7 p.m. followed by a vigil at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hays Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from noon to time of service Monday at the funeral home, 20th and Pine, Hays 67601.
