Shuler was born in Wichita, Kan. and moved to Glendale in 1936. He worked for the aircraft firm for 32 years before retiring in 1971. He came to Visalia in 1972. He was a member of the Lockheed Stardusters Group and past commander of the U.S. Power Squadron.
Surviving are his wife, Marian; a son, Maj. Richard Shuler of Ft. Leavenworth, Kan.; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Shuler of Kansas; two sisters, Virginia Addington of Kansas, and Carol Caseria of San Bernardino, and two grandchildren.
