Mary Jo Rowell Stone, 81, widow of Eugene Earle Stone, Jr., of 58 Lake Forest Drive, died October 26, 2007.
Born in Williamsburg County, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Rhett and Gene Welchel Rowell.
Mrs. Stone was associated with E. E. Stone, Jr. Realty along with her husband, and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Ann Stone Brown of Marietta, SC., Harriett Stone Kinard of Greer, SC, and Caroline Stone Shedd of Perry, GA. ; one son, Charles B. Stone of Greenville; sons-in-law, W. Bayne Brown, Richard Kinard, and Frank Shedd; one daughter-in-law, Rita K. Stone; grandchildren, Rhett Brown Koehn and her husband J. Ricahrd G. Kinard and his wife Lauren, Mary K Lane and her husband Dustan, Caroline Elizabeth Shedd, Marion Frank Shedd, III, Jessica J. Stone, Kirby R. Stone, Eugene E. Stone, II, and Charles B. Stone, Jr.; one great-grandchild, Jace Koehn; one sister, Lois R. Inabinet of Kingstree; and one brother, Douglas D. Rowell of Columbia, S.C..
Services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Dr. Jonathan Grieeser officiating. Burial will follow in the Earle-Stone Family Cemetery, near Cherrydale Church. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Episcopal Church 301 Piney Mountain Rd, Greenville, SC 29609.
