Mannus J. "Manny" Boyle of St. John, IN, age 96, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, with his family by his side. Beloved Husband of the late Jean Boyle.

Preceded in death by great grandson, Noah Inman; daughter, Maureen Peuvian Boyle; parents Dennis and Bridget Boyle; Brothers Matthew (Peg) Boyle, Neil (Virginia) Boyle. Manny was a veteran of the US Navy. He retired from the East Chicago Fire Department with many years of service. Then he went on to have a carpet cleaning business. After retiring from the Fire Department and Cleaning Carpets he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid golf player in his spare time, and he was very active at his parish in many ministries at St. John the Evangelist Church. He was a very generous kindhearted man and loved by all who knew him. The family would like to give a special thank you to Manny's caretaker Alan whom he loved and cherished.

Visitation Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 at the ELMWOOD FUNERAL CHAPEL. Funeral Services Friday, May 12, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. from the Elmwood Funeral Chapel 11300 W. 97th Ln. (1/2 block west of US 41/Wicker Ave. at 97th St. John to St. John the Evangelist Church 10701 Olcott. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Sammie Maletta officiating. Interment St. John Cemetery, Hammond.
