Enlisted as a corporal on January 5, 1864, in Co. I, 20th Pennsylvania Cavalry; transferred on June 17, 1865, to Co. I, 1st Provisional Mounted Cavalry; mustered out July 13, 1865, at Cloud's Mills, Virginia.

He applied for his pension on October 29, 1866 as an invalid from the state of PA. app# 118,169 his widow Amanda C. Albertson applied for pension on April 23, 1901

pension states he served with Co's B, K. and R. 23rd Pa Inf--Co. I. 61st Pa Inf.--Co. I. 1st Prov. Cav. and Co. I. 210th. (This might be 20th Cav.)

As far as those Regiments mentioned in his pension this is all was found Enlisted April 23, 1861 with Co. B. 23rd Pennsylvania Infantry. and Co. I. 61st PA Inf he was not on muster roll and 210th not in that regt.
