CREVE COEUR -- M. Marguerite DeJaynes, 83, of Grand Junction, Colo., since 1987, formerly of Creve Coeur, died Friday, March 27, 1998, at Larchwood Inn in Grand Junction. Born Dec. 25, 1914, in Fairbury, Neb., to Marion and Anna Gylling Vance, she married Gerald F. McBride. She later married William DeJaynes on May 9, 1941, in Peoria. He died in 1969 in Peoria. One great-grandson also preceded her in death. Surviving are one son, Donald DeJaynes of Fruita, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was a bookkeeper at Ross Advertising in Peoria.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Schmidt-Haller Funeral Parlors, East Peoria. The Rev. John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be two hours before services at the parlors. Burial will be in Princeville Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
