William H Close, at the age of 91, went to be with his Lord on May 8, 2019.
He was born October 13, 1927 in Whittier, CA. to William and Dora Close, who preceded him in death.

He married the love of his life Edwina Bowen, in 1950 and made their home in Whittier, CA. He worked for Studebaker, until the plant closed in the early 1950's. After the plant closed, he worked for more than 38 years at Rose Hills Memorial Park. After retirement, they moved to Lake Elsinore. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. In his later years, he enjoyed making model cars and talking on the CB radio.

Surviving are the four daughters God gave them with; Terry Creech of Visalia, CA, Toni Ness of Lake Elsinore, CA, Kolleen Montoya of Fort Worth, TX, Kathy Sanchez of Lake Elsinore, CA. Also, surviving is his sister in law, Judy Goodman of OK and brother in law, Robin Bowen of Fontana, CA. whom lived with them for some of his teenage years. He leaves 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was active in First Baptist Church in Whittier, CA and Lake Hills Community Church in Lake Elsinore, CA. He hosted a men's Bible Study until his death. He led by example in hopes that all his family and friends would come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Graveside services will be held at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at Lake Hills Community Church in Lake Elsinore, CA.
