Johnny Taylor Alexander, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He passed away at his home in Pelham, Tennessee, May 14, 2023. He was born on March 30, 1943 in Sewanee, Tennessee to the late Mary Ann Alexander Bell and stepfather Roy Bell.

He is survived by his sons Johnny Taylor Alexander, Jr., Anthony Wayne Alexander, daughter Laura Ann (Jeff) Sims, sister Sue (Phil) Worley, grandsons Johnny Taylor Alexander, III, Zachary Drake Alexander, Whitney Hope Alexander, Geary Dayne (Maria) Meeks, Harley Skylyn (Nick) Turner, five great-grandchildren and a very special niece Wanda Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife Neva June Alexander of 40 years, mother Mary Ann Alexander Bell and stepfather Roy Bell.

Johnny loved serving the Lord and was a member of Payne's Cove Methodist Church in Pelham, Tennessee. He retired from MCA Signs in Manchester, Tennessee. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was always up for great storytelling.

Johnny will be missed deeply, and his memory will forever be treasured by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 16 from 12 P.M. until time of service at Cumberland Funeral Home, Monteagle, Tennessee at 2 P.M., with Bro. James Smith, Bro. Jimmy Goodman and Bro. Mike Rigsby officiating. Burial will be at the Rutledge Hill Cemetery in Pelham, Tennessee.
