Robert Dale Julian, a loving husband, dedicated veteran, and skilled outdoorsman, passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Premier Health and Rehab in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
Born on September 14, 1948, in Twin Falls, Idaho, he was the son of Clyde Cooper Julian and Retta Grace Mulkey Julian.

Bob was a man of many passions, with fishing and hunting holding a special place in his heart. Not only did he enjoy these activities himself, but he also took great pleasure in teaching others how to fish and hunt. With his exceptional skills as a marksman, he was proficient with a long rifle. His commitment to his country led him to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, where he earned numerous accolades, including the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Stars, the National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Aircraft Crewman Badge, the Army Commendation Medal, and an Expert Rifle Badge.

Throughout his life, Bob cherished his wife Betty, and their love was unwavering. Despite the challenges of life and work, he always prioritized providing for her. Bob was her constant companion, especially during her final days. In addition to his outdoor pursuits, he enjoyed reloading ammunition and crafting flies for fly fishing. He found solace in the pages of Western novels and amassed an impressive collection. Bob also had a deep appreciation for music, particularly the organ-playing skills of his beloved wife Betty. Among his favorite authors were John Grisham and Louis L'Amour. They were faithful members of St. Raphael's Catholic Church until Betty's death.

Bob's professional journey encompassed various roles. He worked at Wilson's Chicken Plant in Springdale and served as a locksmith for Mulkey Key Shop for many years. Additionally, he worked as a mechanic at Sisco Hand Tools in Springdale before finding his place at George's Poultry, where he eventually retired.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Forsyth Julian, his parents Clyde and Retta Julian, five brothers—Donald, Ronald, Gene, James, and Melvin Julian—two nephews, Phillip Julian and Tim Julian, as well as his uncle and aunt, Calvin and Clytia Mulkey.

Bob is survived by his nephew James Kevin Julian and wife Johanna of Maumelle, Arkansas, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 10am at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.
