Mary Edith Gregg Ross, 83, of No. 9 Farmington, passed away Tuesday (March 18, 2008) at her residence.She was born Jan. 31, 1925, at Fairview, a daughter of the late Carl and Hazel Ammons Gregg.Mrs. Ross was a homemaker, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who lived her entire life in Farmington. She was a graduate of Fairview High School in 1942 and a lifetime member of the Oakhurst Church of Christ.Mrs. Ross is survived by her children and their spouses, Joyce A. and Frank McGee, Tobaccoville, N.C., James F. and Wendy Ross, Chesapeake, Va., Linda L. and Horace Cox, Clemmons, N.C., David L. Ross and companion, Wendy Hurd, Fairview, Carol J. and Frank Daniel, Farmington, Carl G. and Michelle Ross, Barrackville; 10 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, June Anderson, Alliance, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Redith Gregg, Massillon, Ohio.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of over 51 years, James Ross, who passed away Nov. 26, 1993; a brother, Robert Gregg; and a sister, Alice Testa.Friends may call at the Hutson Funeral Home in Farmington from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, which will be held at 1 p.m., Friday with Evangelist Randy Cook officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Fairmont
