John A. McAdoo, 87, retired public works department employee, died last Thursday at his home, 31 Stearns St. A native of Lynn, he had lived here many years.
He was the husband of the late Annie T. (Harney) and leaves a son, William A. McAdoo, of Arlington; four daughters, Mrs. Dora Walsh, Miss Margaret E. McAdoo and Mrs. Lillian LaRonde, all of Cambridge, and Mrs. Alice V. McBride of Arlington; a sister Mrs. Lillian Mead of Jersey City, N.J.; 18 grandchildren.
The funeral was held Monday from the Hickey Funeral Home, with a requime high mass in St. Peter's Church, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery,
