Daughter of Anthony and Deloris (Schlieman) Turner. She grew up on the home farm near Appleton. She attended school in Appleton, and later attained her GED at the age of 40, fulfilling a promise she had made to her children. She married Thomas Dewayne McTighe on June 16, 1979, in Milbank, SD. They lived in Correll, where they raised their family. She worked with Tom for the Tweeten Family during potato harvest; he would drive truck and she would operate the weigh scales. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 22 years, Thomas McTighe; brother, Ray Turner; and granddaughter, Katilen Myers McTighe. Surviving are her five children, Jeanie Briggs (Jason Brotzel) of St. Cloud, Tammy McTighe of Madison, Julie Steuck (Christopher) of Brandon, Jamie (Terra) McTighe of Odessa, and Shawn (Amanda) McTighe of Correll; five step-children, Rhonda, Thomas, Mike, Dennis, and Melodie; fifteen grandchildren, Anthony Julius Schmidt, Hailee Nikole Schmidt, Alexis Lainey Schmidt, Katie Louise Torke, Seth Thomas Torke, Maci Kay Torke, Destiny Lee Steuck, Kylee Alyssa Jayden Lawver, Duke Thomas Manx McTighe, Kenna Jo McTighe, Sophia Leah McTighe, Tyler Thomas McTighe, Jerika Eppel, and Teil Eppel; two great-grandchildren, Landon Thomas Paul Geis and Octavia Nikole Fernstrom; sister, Lynn Hedin of Shakopee; and brother, Robert (Rita) Turner of Appleton.
