Belva Herring Asay, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away while surrounded by her family early Wednesday morning, March 19, 2008.

She was born to Andrew Litster Herring and Ellen Lenerva Boren on May 3, 1921 in Vernal, Utah. She married Ervil Dar Asay on May 10, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and she taught her children well.

She is survived by her husband, of almost 69 years and five children, Saundra (Richard) Rice; Ronald Lee (Joan); Sheila (Allen) Davies; Nila (Dale) Randall; Sue Ellen (Richard) Gowen; 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; Brothers and Sister, Dallas Herring, California; Vila Hull, Missouri; Jay Herring, Idaho. She was preceded in death by son-in-law Gary Sandberg.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 22th 2008 at 12 Noon at the Larkin Mortuary located at 260 East South Temple Street in Salt Lake City, Utah, where Friends may call on Saturday, from 10:30 to 11:45 AM, prior to Services.
Interment will be held in the Georgetown City Cemetery in Cannonville, Utah following the conclusion of the Funeral Services.
