Paul John Naples, 72, of Pittston Twp., passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, May 17, 2023, surrounded by his family. Paul fought a year long, courageous battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme (brain cancer). Born in Pittston, June 2, 1950, Paul was the son of the late Charles Naples and Beatrice Nanni Naples.

He was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and Wilkes-Barre Business College. Prior to his retirement, Paul was a management analyst in the Business Management Directorate at Tobyhanna Army Depot. In his earlier years, Paul was employed by Liberty Throwing, Kingston; Jewelcor Inc., Wilkes-Barre; Keystone Automotive, Exeter; and Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance, Pittston. He was also the proud proprietor of "Videos for All Occasions."

Paul was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and cousin. His family was the center of his life and he cherished every moment with them. He was a true gentleman and a positive role model to his family. Paul embraced all of life's challenges with positivity and humor. He loved to travel and take walks with his wife, Charlotte. Paul was a man of faith and served as a Eucharistic minister for The Parish of St. Barbara in Exeter for many years. He had a great love for animals especially his two dogs Winston and Simba.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, the former Charlotte Pisano; two sons and two daughters and their spouses, Paul and Nicole Naples, Gainesville, Va.; Suzanne and Michael Fanti, Exeter; Lita and Kevin Vincavage, Exeter; and Christopher and Rachelle Naples, Flemington, N.J.; his grandchildren, Anthony and Gianna Naples; Adriana and Michael Fanti; Kevin, Kyle and Charlize Vincavage; Carmella Naples; brothers, Charles Naples and his wife, Sally, St. Louis, Mo.; Gary Naples and his wife, Sharon, Wilkes-Barre; Elmer Naples and his wife, Judy, Columbus, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Charles Pisano, Florida; and Joseph Supulski, Exeter; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The Naples family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of The Sacred Heart in Dunmore as well as Paul's home caregivers; John Holmes, Laplume; Matthew Coggins, Dunmore; and Julie Sandy, Wyoming for their kind and compassionate care. Paul's family would also like to thank Dr. Kevin Carey and Dr. James Noto, Plains; Dr. Victor Udekwu, Wilkes-Barre; Dr. Tara Morrison at the Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute; Dr. Mateo Ziu and staff at INOVA Char Cancer Institute in Virginia; Dr. Nduka M. Amankulor and staff at the University of Pennsylvania Brain Tumor Center; and Dr. Alexandra Miller and staff at Memorial Sloan Cancer Center in New York.

Funeral services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from Adonizio Funeral Home LLC, 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Parish of St. Barbara, 28 Memorial St., Exeter, with the Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. officiating. Interment to follow in West Pittston Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
