She was born on June 16, 1937, in Wisconsin Rapids, the daughter of Earl and Helen (Firkus) Hollstrom.
Carol worked for Wood County Humane Society and then for Bend Mill while living in Bend Oregon. She also lived in La Pine Oregon and Twin Falls, Idaho before moving back to Wisconsin Rapids.
She married James P. Kauth and later married Ronald Geddes; he later preceded her in death. Carol loved to travel, enjoying the outdoors, spending time at the lake and going to many places including Green Peter Dam in Oregon and Twin Falls, Idaho. She also enjoyed baking for family and friends. As well as playing Canasta and putting puzzles together. But most of all spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her children, Cynthia K (Sterling) Dupree of Van Cleave, MS, Steven (Bonnie) Kauth of Wisconsin Rapids, Jennifer (Douglas) Machon of Wisconsin Rapids, Michael (Roxanne) Kauth of Amherst and William (Sheila) Kauth of Sweet Home, Oregon; her grandchildren, Celeste Dunn-Boyer, Amanda Buss, Danielle Buss, Ben Kauth, Eric Kauth and Mark Kauth; 6 great grandchildren; Brother Carl Hollstrom of Twin Falls, Idaho; sisters, Marjorie Stroik of Wisconsin Rapids and Mary Schoepper of Meridian, Idaho; she is further survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; her sister, Beverly O'Brien; and by her nephew, Kevin O'Brien.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home. burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral Home.
