Granddaughter of Elijah & Mary Sova. Daughter of Stephen O. & Mary C. (Sova) Swadling. Sister of George, Charles, Thomas, Lydia, William, Emogene and Stephen J. Swadling. Married Ira J. Boughton in the early 1870's. Mother of Cora Boughton, Eva Campbell and Mae Hadden. Passed away a week after Mae was born. Ira sent Eva and Mae to be raised by their Grandpa & Grandma Swadling. Ira took daughter Cora to Michigan. In 1884 he married Orpha Drake and had Hattie, Sada, Wilson and Iva Boughton.

Cause of Death: Complications after childbirth due to having a genetic blood disorder called Factor Five.
