MURPHY - Wilma (Wolford), 101, Salix, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2023. Born on April 8, 1922 in Johnstown to G. H. and Marguerite Frampton Miller. Preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, M. Ruth (Shreeder) Miller and husbands, Dr. Donald R. Wolford and Thomas J. Murphy. Others who preceded her death are her infant brother, D. Owen Miller; sister, Mae Jean Miller; daughter, Jeanne W. McKelvey; son-in-law, William G. McKelvey and stepgrandson, William McKelvey, Jr.

Wilma is survived by her loving sons, Dr. Gary (Claudia) Wolford, Michigan and Dr. Larry Wolford (Denise), Texas; stepsons, Thomas (Gail) Murphy, Pittsburgh and David (Joyce) Murphy, Berlin. These grandchildren blessed "Wilbur's" life: Cynthia Lynn, Donald (Melissa), Daniel, Dax, Dallas, Demi, Dylan and Dash Wolford; Chey, Colt (Rachel) and Robert (Sharon) McKelvey; David (Christina) and Michael (Emily) Murphy. Wilma's great-grandchildren are Berkley, Wrigley, Riley, Natalie and Max Wolford; Leanne, Laura, Joshua, John, Joseph, Lydia, Rose, Mae and Knox McKelvey; David III, Thomas, William and Joseph Murphy. Finley DeSoto is a great-great granddaughter.

Wilma was a graduate of the former Adams Township High School and attended Wilson College and the Drexel Institute of Technology. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church PCA.

Wilma often said she has had a good life and felt so blessed. She enjoyed listening to Steelers, Pirates and Penguins games. She felt very grateful to have had such wonderful care givers: CeCe Mickus, Jamie Gorzelsky and Glea Shilcosky. These ladies and their families were dedicated to Wilma and allowed her to live comfortably at home while providing much joy to Wilma's days.

Friends will be received from 9AM until time of service at 10AM on Saturday, May 27 at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland, with Rev. Dr. David Karlberg officiating. Interment immediately following at Grandview Cemetery. The family suggests contributions in Wilma's memory be directed to Cambria County Association for the Blind and Handicapped, CAB, 211 Central Avenue, Johnstown, PA 15902 or to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 268 Hostetler Rd, Johnstown, PA 15904.
