Stein, Edward E., Jr. Ann Arbor, MI , age 66, passed away Monday, October 27, 2003 at his home. He was born in Galveston, Texas on October 23, 1937 to Mary K. Stein and Edward E. Stein, Sr., both deceased. Ed served in the Kansas National Guard from 1956 until 1958. He graduated from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas in 1960, and was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Ed began his career with Arthur Andersen and Co., as an auditor from 1960 to 1966. From there he went on to the Dundee Cement Company, later to be named Holnam, Inc., where he had various duties including Vice President of Administration and Taxes. He remained at Holnam until his retirement in 1993. Ed is survived by Sharon L. (Penn) Stein of Ann Arbor, his wife of 20 years; his sister, Mary Pearl Wiksten of Warren, MI.; and two sons. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4-8pm at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Ave. The funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:30am at the funeral chapel. Burial to follow at Washtenong Memorial Park. Donations suggested to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association, envelopes available at the funeral chapel.
