Charles H. Eden of 75 Neilson St. died yesterday in Roosevelt Hospital, Edison, after a long illness. A native of New Brunswick, he had lived here all his life.
Mr. Eden was 78 at the time of his death. He was the son of the late John L. and Bertha Cox Eden and was the husband of the late Bertha Eden.
Survivors are two sons, Charles H. Eden Jr. of New Brunswick and Douglas J. Eden of Miami, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Carkhuff of Highland Park, Mrs. Carl Dilley of Edison, and Mrs. Wellbury Brown of Cranberry Lake; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home, 44 Throop Ave., with the Rev. James B. Brown of The Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
