David H. Bachman, aged 79 years, died Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Lawrence, 314 South Ninth Street, following a nine months illness of a complication of diseases. The deceased was a retired blacksmith. He was a member of the Lutheran church, Annville, was well known in Lebanon and throughout the county. For many years he conducted a successful blacksmith shop enterprise. He was a son of the late Jacob and Mary Horst Bachman, and was born September 17, 1854, at Fontana. The following survive: Three daughters, Mrs. B. F. Gordon, Lebanon; Mrs. Pearl Albright, Philadelphia; Mrs. Paul Lawrence, Lebanon; two sons, David A. Bachman, Worchester, Mass., and Walter M. Bachman, Lebanon; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Penrose Bachman and Abraham L. Bachman, both of Pasadena, California, and one sister, Mrs. Amos Albright, Lebanon.
