Mr. Williams died tragically from severe injuries he sustained in a pedestrian-vehicle accident when he was fatally struck by a car on Highway 49 west of the city of Jefferson.
Upon his death, he was laid to rest on November 15, 1964 on the grounds of Cedar Grove Cemetery in Jefferson, Texas.

Their daughter, Mrs. Bessie Lee Harris, of Jefferson, was the informant on the death certificate.
