Died, at 3:15 o'clock Sunday afternoon, Jan. 29, 1911, at his residence, 875 South Walnut street, of complications, William A. Baldwin, aged 69 years, 10 months and 22 days. Mr. Baldwin had been ill for some time. His condition became serious Friday, and his demise was only a question of hours from that time.

Decedent was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Baldwin of Virden. He was born March 6, 1841, near Crawfordsville, Ind. At the age of 6 years, he came with his parents to this state, locating in Green county. He removed to Virden at the age of 21 years, and for almost half a century was a prominent farmer and stock raiser of that vicinity. He retired from active business ten years ago. In October of last year, he purchased property in this city, and two months ago removed to Springfield.

Mr. Baldwin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Electa Baldwin; one daughter, Mrs. F. M. Duncan, both of this city; four brothers, John of San Diego, Cal.; Joseph of Eureka Springs, Mo.; Thomas of Red Cloud, S. Dak.; F. M. Baldwin of Litchfield, and two sisters, Mrs. George Bolts of Des Moines, Ia., and Mrs. J. F. Weir of Litchfield.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the residence. Interment will be made at Oak Ridge cemetery.
