Born in Hyde Park, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Mutascio. In 1997, Shelia moved to Florida. Sheila worked in a variety of professions throughout her life. She was a licensed cosmetologist for over 37 years and owned and operated a salon in St. Pete Beach. Additionally, Sheila was a gifted artist and sold her art at local craft events and on her website "Coloring the World". In 2013, Sheila co-founded the non-profit organization, Heaven on Earth for Veterans, Inc, which focused on providing safe, affordable, housing to homeless veterans in Pinellas County.
She is preceded in death by her father, son Jason Mutascio and her brother Gerald Mutascio.
Sheila is survived by her mother, three brothers, Joseph, Gary, and John Mutascio (Jennifer), one sister, Gina Issa, one niece, Alexia Mutascio, three nephews, Nicolas Mutascio, George and Tony Issa and her loving wife, Carol Barkalow.
Sheila will be remembered for her loving heart and zest for life.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 12 o'clock at Sheila and Carol's home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Heaven on Earth for Veterans, Inc. or to breast cancer research.
