J.B. Haden Jr., 85, went to be with our Lord peacefully at his home in Hallsville on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

J.B. was born in Marshall, Texas on August 21, 1937 to J.B. Haden Sr. and Cora Lee Briggs. He went into the Texas National Guard at 15 years old and was also in the Navy. His job titles throughout his life, including being a pipefitter, horse shoer, and a Thoroughbred horse trainer. He enjoyed fishing, attending horse races and auctions and talking about horses to anyone that would listen. He was a christian and believed he would spend eternity with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

J.B.'s life partner and best friend was Sharron Haden, whom he had one child with, Carmen. Later in life, he adopted Johnathan Blake, his grandson.

J.B. was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers James and Richard, his sister, Betty Pauline, and his grandson, James Conner Riley Hopkins.

Those left to cherish his memory include Carmen (T.W.) Bouressa, Jonathan (Lexi) Haden, Sharron Haden, stepson, Paul (Tammy) Chipman, his sister, Pat Reed, many nieces and nephews and his grandchildren: Angel (Adam) Wooten, Chelsea (Brandon) Lowe, Ariel Chipman, Alyssa (Paul) Chipman, Cale Chipman. Along with his great-grandchildren: Ellayna, Konner, Eryn, Luca, Tita, Sadie, Sterling & Rowen.

Please join us to celebrate the life of J.B. Haden Jr. on June 10, 2023 at 11am. We will have services at Bracken Cemetery in DeBerry, Texas.
