Died, Saturday morning, Aug. 18, 1900, in St. Louis, W.T. Bobbitt, aged 46 years. Mr. Bobbitt was an uncle of B.A. Bobbitt, the grocer of this city. His demise was due to heat prostration. He was one of the best known piano men in St. Louis and was a prominent member of the Masons, Knights of Pythias, and Odd Fellows. W.T. Bobbitt was born in Humboldt, Tenn., Dec. 3, 1854, and removed to St. Louis eighteen years ago. Three years after he married Mary L. Carroll, who still survives him. In 1886 he engaged in the piano business at 822 Olive street, where he continued until he retired, in 1898. Some two months ago he took charge of the piano department of Shattinger's music store, where he had charge of that branch of the business.

He was a member of Rose Hill Lodge No. 530, A.F. and A.M., and one of the prominent members of Kilwinning Chapter, No. 50, R.A.M. He was also prominently identified with the I.O.O.F.; and was past noble grand of Mound City lodge, No. 216. He was affiliated with the Knights of Pythias.
