Minnie Margaret Peterson was born at Newtown, Iowa, on February 14, 1873, and passed away at her home in Avoca, Iowa, Friday morning, December 17, 1926, aged 53 years, 10 months and 3 days.
She grew to womanhood in this vicinity taking care of her aged parents until they were called home. She was a quiet home-loving woman. Although she never united with a church yet her life was one of beauty and those who knew her felt that truly she knew the Lord. She loved to read the word of God and her walk through life showed fruits of that Word which she loved.
On November 7, 1915 she was united in marriage to Wesley Marr, and their home was made in Avoca on the south side.
She leaves to mourn her going her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Gordon of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Almeda True, of Avoca, also two brothers Will Peterson of Avoca and Charles Peterson of Long Beach, Cal. She was preceded in death by her father in 1897 and her mother in 1916.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, December 19, at 2 p.m. Rev. J. M. Fleming officiating, and interment in the Newtown cemetery.
