OBITUARY - WALTER CHRISTOFER HAGEN
12.11.1930 to 04.22.2023
Walter C Hagen died in his sleep April 22, 2023, at the age of 92. He had a full life.
Walt was born in Glendale Oregon on December 11th, 1930.
He graduated high school and immediately enlisted in the Navy (1948-1953). Walt served and saw battle in the Korean War. He served on both The USS Midway and The USS Antietam aircraft carriers.
After his service, Walt attended the University of Washington and in 1955 he married his first wife. They had three children. His first wife died in 1968. Walt married again in 1971, to a woman with 2 children. Together, with their children, they enjoyed life until his second wife's death in 2012.
Walt had a long and meaningful career at the Boeing company for over 38 years. There he worked with many engineering groups, drafting, CAD Cam, and other Computer services. Walt was most proud of introducing CAD CAM to Boeing production.
During his time outside of work, Walt would spend hours outdoors with his children and friends. He enjoyed hiking, fishing, boating, hunting, engaging in local politics and golfing.
Walt is survived by 4 children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren.
A graveside service to be held, in his honor, at Evergreen-Washelli, May 26th at 11:30 am.
