Alice Faye Darby (née Welker)


Age 88, passed away on May 26, 2023 at her residence in Hillsboro, MO. Born January 29, 1935 in Marble Hill, MO to late parents Linus Welker and Ruby Welker. On July 24, 1954 she married her sweetheart Gary Dale Darby at Marble Hill Court House. In between being a great housewife, Alice worked at a daycare as she had a great heart for children. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, quilting, feeding the birds, camping, going to garage sales, and watching western tv shows. She especially liked Little House on the Prairie acting as though she'd seen every episode for the first time. She also loved taking the grandchildren to Silver Dollar City, and especially to her favorite store - Walmart!


In addition to her husband Gary Darby, she is survived by:

Sons - Gary (Sharon) Darby of Imperial and Larry (Patricia) Darby of Hillsboro

Grandchildren: Jim (Amelia) Darby, Ben Darby, Amanda Darby, Dereck Depew

Great-grandchildren: Luke Darby, Jesse Darby, Kayleigh Depew, Wyatt Darby, Bryce Darby, Harper Darby,


She is preceded in death by her parents Linus Welker and Ruby Welker and grandchildren Matt Darby and Jacob Darby
