Sandra Doris Stansifer Abernathy, age 86 of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
She was born in Flintstone, GA, was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, and was of the Christian Faith. Sandra retired form Provident Insurance Co. in 2000, after more than 20 years and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Chuck" Gary Abernathy Sr.; parents, Charles Stansifer & Lela
Howard Stansifer; sister, Louis Stansifer; and brother, Charles "Sonny" Stansifer.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Laurel Abernathy; granddaughter, Brooklyn Abernathy; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:45 on Thursday at the funeral home.
