Eighth and youngest child of William and Catherine (Mumford) Booth, founders of The Salvation Army.

Lucy married Emanuel Daniel Hellberg, and together they had Emma, Eva, Lucy, Daniel and Ebba Mary Booth-Hellberg.

Lucy and Emanuel served as Officers (ordained ministers) in The Salvation Army in India, France, and Switzerland. After her husband's death, Lucy served as Territorial Commander for Denmark, Norway, and South America, before retiring in 1934.
