At the time of the 1850 census, Bezaleel, Rhoda and their daughter, Rhoda, are all found residing with their daughter, Zilpha (Lucas) Bradford, and her family in Turner, Oxford County, Maine;

Abraham W. Jackson attended Colby College, graduating in 1869 and many years later, the Harvard Divinity School, receiving his D. D. in 1902. Abraham W. Jackson moved to Petersburg, New Hampshire in 1872, becoming Minister at the Unitarian Church. He later served as the Pastor of the Unitarian Church in Santa Barbara, California. He was also a teacher at the Meadville Theological School, serving as Acting Professor of Philosophy from 1894-95, the author of "The Immanent God" (1889) and "Deafness and Cheerfulness" (1902) and of many pieces on religion, philosophy, and other topics.


Abraham W. Jackson was married July 8, 1872 in Portland, Maine to Caroline Bradford Bigelow, who was born February 10, 1855 in Livermore, Maine, the daughter of Joel Howard Bigelow and Hannah (Lunt) Bigelow. Caroline was a teacher at Salem Normal School in Salem, Massachusetts before she was married.

1. Howard Bigelow Jackson; born September 27, 1874 in Peterborough, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. Howard served in the Medical Corps during WWI, serving as a Captain from July 15, 1918 until his death at Fort Oglethorpe, Catoosa County, Georgia on October 13, 1918. 3. Ruth Caroline Jackson, born July 15, 1881 in Maine. Ruth was married to William Bradford Bartlett on November 25, 1908 in the city of Melrose, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. William was born on ____________ __, 1880, the son of Edward Jarvis "Ned" Bartlett, who was born in 1842 in Concord, one of nine children of Dr. Josiah Bartlett and his wife Martha. In August of 1862, Edward enlisted in the 44th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, a nine-month regiment. He served as a private in Company F. Edward also later served in one of the black regiments that was raised in Massachsuetts.

William Bradford Bartlett served as the medical director of the John Hancock Life Insurance Company from 1923 until 1946. He and Ruth were residents of Hartford, Connecticutt and Concord, Massachusetts.

Ruth and William were the parents of;

A. Edward Jackson Bartlett, born July 21, 1915 in Hartford, Connecticut. He was a resident of Concord, Massachusetts and later of Carlisle, Massachusetts. Edward married Joan Motley (1921-1992). Edward worked as a cabinetmaker in Concord, Massachusetts. Edward died on July 18, 1994 in Acton, Massachusetts.
