In Memory of D.H. Cheek, Who Passed Away Nov. 19, 1941.

Today brings a memory of a love one that's gone to rest.
Those that think of him today are those that loved him best.
Gone are the smiles we cherished so dear,
Silent the voice we loved to hear.
Too far away for sight or speech,
But not too far for memory to reach.
Faithful and honest in all his ways,
Devoted and true to the end of his days.
A loving boy so good and kind,
What a beautiful memory he left behind.
What we would give to clasp his hand,
His dear, kind face to see, To hear his sweet voice and see him smile as in days that used to be.
The pain was hard, the shock severe,
We never thought his death so near.
Only those who have lost can tell how sad the parting without farwell.
As we love him, so we miss him:
In our memories he is near, loved, remembered, thought of always
Bringing many silent tears.
Up in God's beautiful garden, away from sorrow and care,
Sleeps our precious son and brother,
Some day we hope to meet him there.

Sadly missed by his parents, sisters, and brothers.
