Son of the late John Roland Dunbar and Caddy Owens. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the European Theatre during WWII. He was a retired farmer and a member of Rose Bay Baptist Church. He was the widower of Alma William Dunbar. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Curtis Dunbar, and a sister, Ruth Ohma Doame. He was survived by four sisters, several nieces and nephews. His funeral was held September 8, 1996, at the Rose Bay Baptist Church with The Rev. Roscoe Ange officiating.
