Carrie Elvina Campbell Fife
Nov. 13, 1913 - June 30, 2010

NYSSA- Carrie Elvina Campbell Fife was born November 13, 1913, at Weston, Idaho to her parents, Fredrick Robert Campbell and Idoshia Pearl Hauskins. Carrie had 20 brothers and sisters. Carrie is survived by her children, Janeel D.(Morrell) Bunn, of Nampa, Idaho, Dean L. (D.L.) (Jodi) Fife, of Meridian, Idaho, Marlo Reed (Dixie) Fife, of Valley, Wash., and her son in law, Kent P. Bunn, of Boise, Idaho. She also is survived by 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 19 great-great-grandchildren. Carrie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dean Everett Fife; and two of her daughters,Fredrie Bunn and Monta Claire Fife. Carrie grew up on a ranch/farm in Weston, Idaho. She loved horses and ranching. She learned to cook for her brothers and sisters when her mother got sick. The ranch crews loved her pies. No rattle snake was safe within two miles of her. Her father, Fred, finally bought her a pistol so she would stop hitting them on the head. She married her childhood sweetheart, Dean Fife in 1933. Shortly after they married the Owyhee Dam project was beginning and the Fife Construction Company moved to Nyssa, Ore. She lived in Nyssa for 50 years. Dean and Carrie ran their farm/dairy for many years. When her husband became ill they sold their farm and moved to Boise, Idaho to be close to her two daughters. Carrie was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was loved by all who knew her. Carrie worked in the Boise Temple running the cafeteria for several years. Carrie became ill in February 2010 and passed away June 30, 2010, at a Meridian Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N Midland Blvd in Nampa. A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. just before the services. Internment will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery in Nyssa, Ore.
