Edwin A. Seckler, who resided in Northbrook for all of his 80 years, died March 7 in Northwest Community Hospital, Arlington Heights. Mr. Seckler was born in Northbrook when it was still known as Shermerville. He was a retired carpenter-contractor. A member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, he also was a former member and former president of Maple School Board ( district 30) and was a former member of Local 1307 of the Carpenters' Union. He is survived by a daughter, Marian Maihack of Wheeling, and a son, Donald of Northbrook. Services were conducted March 9 at St. Peter, Northbrook, by the Rev. Harold Barth. Interment was in Ridgewood Cemetery.
