Palmyra - Eunice R. Norris, 55, died October 4, 1972 at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. She was born in Plymouth February 4, 1917, the daughter of William and LaVon (Edminster) Erskine. She had lived most of her life in Dixmont, spending the last 10 years in Palmyra.

She was a member of the Dixmont Corner Methodist Church and the Dixmont Ladies Club as well as the Christmas and Community Clubs of Palmyra.

She is survived by her husband, Norman of Palmyra; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erskine of Dixmont; three daughters, Mrs. Roger (Bettina) Emerson, N. Westchester, Conn., Mrs. Kenneth (Norma) Philbrook, of Dixmont and Mrs. Winston (Gelia) Clark of Gardiner; one sister, Mrs. Robert (Esther) Winship, Unity; five brothers, Lawrence of Newport, Roger, Richard, James and Robert, all of Dixmont; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2pm at the Dixmont Corner Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Village Cemetery in Palmyra.
