Anthony "Tony" Braden, 76, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 1, 2023. He was a longtime resident of Franklin.

Tony was born on April 8, 1947 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Vi (Withworth) Hughes. He married Francis "Fran" Braden on September 20, 1969. She lovingly survives. Other survivors include his children, Craig Braden, Rhonda Clark (Jacque), Melissa Cox, and Shawn Braden (Sara); 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sibling, Ken Braden (Marty) and Roger Hughes (Donna); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in passing by his mom, Vi Withworth; step-father, John Hughes; and brother, Michael Hughes.

Tony was a graduate of Franklin Community High School. He worked as an auctioneer and truck driver for many years.

Tony loved going to and working auctions. He collected horses and other antiques. He enjoyed watching races and sitting in the yard with his dogs.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. a t Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
