Husband of Elizbeth Julia Flournoy. This is the grave of General William Henry, of the Kentucky Militia. William Henry served in the Revolutionary War as a Private in the Virginia Militia under Harry "Light Horse" Lee and General Greene. In the War of 1812, he led the the troops as a General in the Kentucky Militia.

Note: (At one time, a memorial for Gen William Henry was created, giving his location as Pioneer Cemetery, Hopkinsville, which was incorrect. Since the creator of the incorrect location was now deceased, the two memorials have been merged into this one with the correct location. Unfortunately, during the merge, an incorrect photo carried over. The photo with the shoe next to the slab is NOT the correct slab for Gen William Henry. The correct slab is shown in the other two photos.)

Gravesite Details

The cemetery is on private land which I visited on 6/2/2023 with the owners. It is otherwise inaccessible & completely hidden w/in a grove of trees in midst of a cornfield. Gen Wm Henry's slab cannot be read in photos; slightly better in person.
