ANDERSON, Sallie JONES - Mrs. Sallie Anderson, 68, widow of the late Representative W.A. Anderson, died at the home of her son, Allen, south of Centerton Thursday morning at 6:20 following a hemorrhage of the brain. Mrs. Anderson had been dangerously ill for some time and the end was not unexpected. Funeral services will be held at Vaughn Friday morning at 10 o'clock with the Rev. Bradshaw conducting the services. Burial will take place in the family cemetery. Surviving her are four sons, Sam J. Anderson, prominent fruit grower, Allen Anderson, both of Centerton, Paul Anderson, city attorney of Rogers and Jack Anderson of Kansas City. There are four sisters, Mrs. E.S. Highfill and Mrs. Martha Edwards of Cave Springs, Mrs. Dora Morrison, Mrs. Fannie Bell of Highfill and one brother, Bill Jones of Highfill, who is also survive her. Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of a pioneer of Benton county, "Mexican Sam" Jones, as he was known for his repute and services spent in the Mexican war. He was well known over this section and lived practically his entire life near Highfill where Mrs. Anderson was born. Following her marriage she moved with her husband to Anderson township where they lived until the death of Representative Anderson about five year ago. Then Mrs. Anderson made her home with her son, Allen. She was beloved for her kindly ways and acts, and a legion of friends mourn her death. For over 40 years she was member of the Presbyterian church at Vaughn and was very active in religious work.
