Richard A. Schirtz, 42, of 111 Elizabeth St., North Syracuse, died yesterday at State University Hospital. He was a native of Syracuse and lived most of his life in the North Syracuse area. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was an employee of Contract Trucking Co,, East Syracuse. He is survived by his wife, Myrtha; a daughter, Sheryl; a son, Mark; his mother, Mrs. Nellie Schirtz of Largo, Fla.; two sisters Mrs, Catherine Lentz of Largo, Fla., and Mrs. Helen Roberts of Liverpool; four brothers, Charles of Mattydale, Wilbur of North Syracuse, Jack of Bridgeport and Robert of California. Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery in the spring. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
