H Weston "Wes" EYRE's mother named him for a Methodist preacher she admired, Henry WESTON. "Wes" md: (1st) Pennsylvania 05 Jan 1916 Alma Margaret DIX, dtr of George & Anna N DIX. Their children were: H Weston, Jr, George Dix, Alma Margaret and Marshall Post EYRE. "Wes" md: (2nd) Virginia Claudia CARR w/whom he had one daughter. He md:(3rd) Bernice Mary McKAY w/whom he had no children. He was an accountant for the REA for many years eventually establishing his own accounting business in Chicago, IL.
"Wes" loved to dance and was a marvelous, smooth dance partner, he loved to play shuffle board and horseshoes. He boxed semi-professionally around Philadelphia, PA until he almost killed a man. Baseball was another passion, he signed on with the New York Yankees farm team, but his first year spring training caught a high fly off third base tearing all the ligaments in his right shoulder and ending professional aspirations. He appears on the team list as "Whitey" EYRE. "Wes" was a life long fan of the Yankees. He was a member of the Masons.
