Jacob R. Armstrong, of Lindstrom, Minnesota, born July 7, 1995, to parents Mike and Renee Armstrong, passed away unexpectedly on May 31, 2023, at the age of 27.

Jacob grew up as a middle sibling in a large family, and finding his niche was difficult at times. But, from a young age Jacob always enjoyed spending time outside with his Dad in the garage or at the job site working on trucks and running equipment. School was difficult for Jacob but he was very intelligent and although he struggled early on, he knew his potential and worked hard – managing to graduate high school on the B Honor Roll. Jacob continued his education at Staples College where he graduated at the top of his class. He went on to work as a diesel mechanic at R.E. Peterson, Inc.

Jacob was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and ice fishing in his free time, which wasn't often because he was a hard worker, often doing side jobs and always helping anyone who needed it. This is probably why you rarely caught him without his work boots on, but if you did, he was in his Crocs.

Jacob was a country boy at heart. He enjoyed country music and always wore jeans and a flannel, even when he was wearing his top hat. Friends and family have described him as a selfless and genuine man who was always willing to give people a second chance. He was known for his contagious smile and laughter, warm heart and for his quiet nature. But don't be mistaken, he could carry on a conversation and talk your ear off at the right moment. Jacob was an amazing son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was legendary, one of a kind, and will be greatly missed by all whose life he touched.

Jacob is preceded in death by his mother, Renee Armstrong; grandparents Conrad & Avis Armstrong and Paul & Sandra Mohn.

Jacob is survived by his father Mike (Barb) Armstrong; siblings Mike Jr. (Amy) Armstrong, Tim Heasley, Joe Heasley, Jessica (Tim) Olson, James Armstrong, Shelby (Zach) Armstrong, Ryan (Sutheree) Armstrong, Jennifer (Jess) Jacques and Nikki (Cody) Benson; nieces and nephews Lydia, Landon, Evalynn, Emersyn, Elena, Galytea and Dylan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
